I'm going to make bold statement and say that Empanadas are the
smartest food eveeeer!!! That's right I said it...the smartest!
Those little creatures of delight can be found any & everywhere-
Spain, Portugal, the Caribbean, Latin America, the Philippines and
even in Indonesia.
So
where did these puff
pastries of the Gods come from? Like the hamburger, there are many
food historians who claim that it originated in their country...I even
went to the internet God of wikipedia and it mentions Galicia Spain as
it's birth right & place.
The
name comes from the Spanish verb empanar, meaning to wrap or coat in
bread.
